How To Get More Website Traffic Today!

Getting more website traffic these days involves Social Media.

To have people Like you on Facebook, Follow you on Twitter or Stumble upon you on StumbleUpon.com…is always a great way of driving traffic to your website or blog.  Social Media drives traffic, which in turns drives online sales if that ultimately is your goal.  Another glaring advantage to having large social media followings across multiple platforms is you have a ready group of people you can continuously launch and promote new products towards.

So how do you go about getting more Likes, Follows, Stumbles or Subscribers?

Social Media Prominence

nice-twitter-buttonIf you take a look at Facebook.com and Twitter.com you will notice that the “Like” and “Re-tweet” links are rather small.  Yet people still go through the process of finding and using the small icons to show their approval.

What would happen if you had nice LARGE buttons on your website and blog?  Did you know that you can actually create much bigger buttons? If you know how to use applications like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop and a little HTML you can make your button standout the way you really want it to.  However, don’t worry if you don’t know how to create your own buttons, you can simply outsource the work for $25 to a web designer.

The same holds true for capturing email subscribers. Your Opt-In Box should be prominent and attention getting.  Often times you come across websites where it takes considerable search to find a simple opt-in box.  Don’t make that mistake!  Make sure you are able to capture emails on your website.  Email addresses drive online communication and interaction.  Creating your own list is invaluable.

Use Social Proof

How To Get More Website Activity TodayAnother great thing to do on your website is to show “social-proof” that other people Liked, Followed and Stumbled your post content.  Social Media should show people the actual numbers of clicks you have received.  Even if it displays as zero, people use that to gauge the validity of your site.  If your content is new people expect to see smaller numbers.  If the content is older people expect to see larger numbers where you have accumulated clicks over a long period of time.

If you are not getting the social media wave going, keep working at it or hire someone to help you in that area.  Consider it an investment towards your online future.

Ask for It!

child-yelling-ask-for-itOne of the most simplest things to do is to ASK FOR IT!  Ask for your website visitor to subscribe, like or follow you.  The good ole simple call to action is a simple yet powerful tool.  Let your visitor know what to do on your site.  Remember they don’t know what you do or do not have within your content…give them a tour.

FREE STUFF!  People love free stuff.  Give people a great incentive to give you their email address.  Create an e-Book that helps them with some key information.  Maybe give away a small inexpensive product that puts a smile on the visitors face.  Be Creative.  It’s your website…Own It!

Options, Options, Options

Give people as many options as you can to connect and share your information online.  Some people only use certain social media outlets on a regular basis.  Twitter, Facebook, Digg, RSS, Email, Pin-it, Flickr etc…all have their pros and cons for different people, so don’t limit your site visitor.  The easier you make the process the more likely you will see action on your site.

High visitor-interaction only happens if you build a system to do it.  Contact SEO Graphic Design if you need help jump-starting your website or simply have a question.

What Makes Videos Go Viral?

If you’re trying to create videos that go viral, you must first know the protocols of What Makes Videos Go Viral.  Of course, nobody can truly predict what content or videos will or will-not go viral.   You stand a much better chance of creating something viral yourself if you know what kind of video content tends to go viral.  Here is SEO Graphic Design’s list of…

Protocols that makes videos go viral:

What Makes Videos Go Viral – Be Human

What Makes Videos Go ViralWhen it comes to videos, factual, statistical or economical videos typically don’t go viral.  Usually the most human videos tend to go viral more than any other type of video.  Remember the singing homeless man that looked like President Obama?  Or how about the Harlem Shake Videos that had large groups of people doing crazy things while being dressed in costumes?  “Be Human” means to have fun, be endearing and embrace the attitude of oneness of all.  While it can be said, “Everyone is different” we all share the commonality of being human by nature.

What Makes Videos Go Viral – Strong Emotions

The more emotions you can muster-up in your audience, the better.

Take for example, the “Charlie Bit my Finger” video. The video features a baby whose brother bit his finger; he sits there laughing and complaining at the same time.  This video has an astounding 530 million views at the time of this writing. That’s more than the entire population of the United States!  One of the main reasons this video took off so strongly is because of how relate-able the emotions were in the video.  You as the viewer could “follow along” with the little boy and the baby’s emotions.   Strong emotions that are identifiable amongst all humans are essential to viral awareness.

What Makes Videos Go Viral – Unique Info

Another type of content that does really well are videos that are informational and touch a large segment of the population.  The key here is that the videos really have to provide content that can’t be found anywhere else.

Take for example, the “Inequality in America” video.  The video is a well put together mix of stats and facts that most people are unaware of and that is what makes it unique.  Unique informational videos work so stay focused on bringing something new and refreshing to the viewers.

What Makes Videos Go Viral – Specific Content

Video content for specific groups can have great appeal factors too.  If your content has emotional ties and is niche oriented you can do very well capturing a large audience.  There are many different types of hobbies, lifestyles and other niches that people are craving more information about.  If you happen to be involved with a unique pass-time, why not create video content that is currently not available online?

Political videos have had viral followings as well.  Take for example the NRA’s recent video advertisements.  Whether you are a gun owner or not, most people have an opinion about guns in America.  Twitter and other social media outlets are always a buzz with politically charged topics and dialogue.  Having videos addressing current and relevant topics is also a way to make your videos go viral.

These are just a few of the factors that come into play when seeking viral video appeal.  Remember, unique, emotionally charged content with a strong “human” element is the type of content people like sharing.  And if “everyone” shares your video and sees your video, you are on your way…this is what makes videos go viral.

Dynamic WordPress Websites versus Static HTML Websites, What’s the Difference?

Many small business owners don’t know anything about Dynamic WordPress Websites.  Most think, simply having a website online is enough in today’s Internet crazed world.  They think, “Hey if I’m online and people can find me” that’s enough for my business!  Well, those small business owners are categorically wrong and I am going to explain why I say that.

Static HTML Websites

static html websiteBack in the late 1990’s was really the first time small businesses everywhere started to become aware of this thing called the Internet.  It was the first time they really took notice of this new potential sales pipeline and many ran out an paid big bucks to Web Designers to have a website built for their small business.  And yes, at that time, simply having a website online representing their business was a big deal and they were absolutely ahead of the curve when it came to technology.  Websites back then were built as Static HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) Websites and that was the way it was done.  There were no templates back then and you had to hire someone who was well schooled in that type of programming.  Those type of websites are called, Static websites because they are built using Programmer tools that are outside of the ability of non-technical people.  Typically once the website is completed, it’s rare that the website’s content and layout ever change because to change it requires one to re-hire an HTML programmer.

statiic-html-on-smart-phoneFast forward to 2013, and one would notice that a lot has changed in the world of the Internet!  Today more people than ever use the Internet on a daily basis and rely on it for a multitude of things.  People use the Internet to talk to other folks all over the planet via Email, Social Media, Webcams, Forums.  They use it to make purchases, research topics and much more.  It is safe to say, most people have cell phones that are Internet capable so now even mobile devices are part of a small business’ online strategy!

Dynamic WordPress Websites

WordPress is considered a Content Management System (CMS) which allows non-technical people to make updates to their websites.  CMS websites are dynamic in that they allow one to make changes to the content as often as they choose.  Don’t like the message on your front page?  Change it.  Want to add a picture to another page?  Add it.  It is that simple and the interface allows for even the most non-technical people (with a little training) to make changes.  What’s even better is that one can make changes to their website from mobile devices as well!  Sitting on the train and got a cool idea you would like to add to your website?  No problem.  Pullout your smart phone or tablet and login to the back-end of your Dynamic WordPress Website and make the change.

WordPress websites are also called dynamic in that unlike a Static HTML Website, Dynamic WordPress Websites utilize an SQL database to store content.  Using SQL databases allows WordPress Websites to load faster than Static HTML Websites and provide a much better interface for website visitors.

The Advantage of Dynamic WordPress Websites

Another advantage of Dynamic WordPress Websites over that of Static HTML Websites, is that WordPress websites allow for Blog interaction with your website visitors.  So some in the technical field may say, “Hey I can build a Static HTML Website and add the Blog feature too.”  To that I say, not as easily and seamlessly as WordPress can!

Having a Blog within your website has a huge advantage as well!  By having a Blog within your website, you now have a way of interacting with people interested in your small business’ products and services, doing so on your own website.  So now if someone happens upon a Blog post featured on your site, they are simply a click away from seeing other pages on your website!  So the idea is simple.  I come to your website because your Blog post had information I was interested in.  I read your Blog and realize, “Hey your website also has the products and services I am interested in as well!”  “I think I will contact this website for more information!”  Yes, having a Blog integrated into your dynamic WordPress website is the way to go in 2013!

Dynamic WordPress Websites that are Mobile Ready

Mobile Ready Dynamic WordPress WebsitesAnother cool thing about dynamic WordPress Websites is that you have the ability to change the layout and look of the site much more easier than you could ever do with a Static HTML Website.  WordPress have these things called, “Child Theme’s” that can be changed (with a little programming) while not losing the written content during the process.  Child Themes are like Halloween masks on a website.  You can change the masks or look of the site, while still keeping the content and pictures in tact.  Static HTML Websites require much more coding and time to make such changes.

Mobile Ready WordPress Websites are all the rage these days in the land of Web Design.  These type of WordPress websites actually conform the layout to that of the device the person is using when they visit the site!

The Common Scenario

Imagine you are in your car traveling abroad and you suddenly get the taste for some pizza.  You pullover to the side of the road, whip out your cell phone, go online and search for the word, “Pizza.”  Google’s search engine pulls a list of 10 different pizza restaurants within a 5 mile radius from where you are at.  You click on the first link but, you can’t figure out the location because all of the information is mangled and overlapping on your cell phone screen.  You back-out of that site and click on the next link and “Wow” same thing…can’t see the information too well and “Hey their Pizza probably isn’t any good anyway if, I can’t see their website clearly on my smart phone!”

Finally you click on the third website listed and “Eureka! This website looks good, I can find it and man does that Pizza look good!”

Yes, that third website was built to be Mobile Ready!  Mobile Ready Websites are a must for serious small businesses.  It can mean the difference between landing a customer and losing a potential customer just off that alone!

* Now in reality if a website is coded poorly, Google won’t even pull the website up in your search.  The only way a poorly coded website would show up in your search is if they have a Pay Per Click ad running or if they have taken the time to update a profile within Google Maps or the like.  Typically the better the coding, the better the site’s ranking will be.  The higher the ranking, the higher the chance more people will see the website.  The big Search Engines have gotten smart like that!

Superbowl Ads and Small Business

If you are like me, you probably spent this past Sunday with friends and family watching the Superbowl.  The Superbowl is one of the biggest TV events in America largely because of the half time shows and the funny and often racy ads that are run.  Super Bowl XLVII per ad prices averaged between $3.7 million and $3.8 million!  Wow!  Just think…some companies can have advertising budgets large enough to spend almost $4 million dollars on just one 60 second advertisement.  Companies such as Coke, Pepsi, KFC, etc. create the kind of yearly revenue that makes it worth the exposure costs for such ads.  The same can not be said for small businesses.

Small Business Owners Are Different

We small business Small Business Ad versus Superbowl Adowners have to be budget savvy and smart with every dollar we spend.  We need to make sure that when we spend money on marketing and advertisements, we will reap returns on our investments.   How many times have you bought an ad in some small paper or magazine and never really got the phone calls or returns on your money?  And if you are into spending money on cable TV ads, how much did that actually cost you versus what you made?

This is where using SEO Graphic Design services can have a huge return on investment for small businesses inclined to capture their market.  The Internet and the popularity of it, pretty much evened the playing field between small businesses and big businesses within the last 15 years.  Using Internet Marketing and Web Design techniques, small businesses can now get in front of their big business competitors like never before!  Sure there is Pay-Per-Click (PPC) options available but even beyond that, the Internet presents small businesses a way of carving out there own little online niche – getting their proverbial “piece-of-the-pie.”  And when I say “little,” 8,000 – 10,000 visitors per day is considered little from an SEO perspective but also very lucrative!

Is Your Small Business Internet Savvy?

As the video above shows, small businesses are the backbone of the American economy.  Small businesses differentiate themselves by being able to make strategical changes quickly thereby, catering to the customer experience better than most large corporations.  This is why SEO Graphic Design pushes being “Mobile Device Ready” in our design process so much!  Being Mobile Device Ready puts a small business in the status of being current and ready for today’s Internet savvy customer!  As a small business owner, you know perception is everything.  The customer that wants to make decisions quickly and research companies online before making a purchase, are using there mobile phones and tablets to do so.  Something as inexpensive as a proper WordPress Mobile Ready Website, should be a no-brainier for serious business owners.

So compare the the cost when you think about advertising mediums.  A multi-million dollar, Superbowl Ad marketed to the masses for one brief moment, versus to a great mobile ready website that actively captures local customers daily.  These days, simply having a website is not enough.  A great website gets you more business and brands your business as one of the best.  If you are interested in our FREE 15 Strategy Consultation, please do not hesitate to contact us.  During the consultation, you’ll learn more about the strategy of getting business online.

Why You Should Be Using a Website for Marketing Your Small Business

website for marketingAdvertising your business website for marketing on the Internet, can seem like a shot in the dark if you are not already familiar with SEO and Internet Marketing.  Few will argue the fact, the Internet is a probably the most valuable asset available to small businesses today.  Banner ads, orchestrating email marketing campaigns and tactfully mentioning your business on forums and message boards are just a few of the more popular options for Internet Marketing.  Another Internet marketing strategy involves creating and advertising your website to promote your business.  You can use your website for marketing in numerous ways.  Providing more information about your business, products or services and letting potential customers know how to reach you are just a few of the ways you can use your website advantageously.  This blog post will highlight the advantages of using your website to market your business.  I will also outline some of the ways having a small business website for marketing can be useful.

The Website for Marketing Advantage

One great advantage to using a website for marketing your business on the Internet is that you can place descriptions and photos of the products or services your business offers.  This is important because most potential customers use the Internet when researching products and services before purchase.  Having an online presence via a website gives your business an advantage over the competition because consumers are much more likely to select your products or services over the products and services offered by your competitors who do not have a website or advertise online.  Specifically having a WordPress Mobile Ready Website is the way to go!

Another advantage of using your website for marketing is you can use the website to not only market but to also sell your products directly using e-Commerce.  Again this gives you the edge over the direct competition.  Consumers who use the Internet to research products and services are often very anxious to make their purchase.  They typically are more inclined to select a retailer or service providers who offer the opportunity to purchase products or services online over retailers who only allow purchases in a store or via phone.  Again having the right website interface for smart phones and tablets is key.

Using a Website for Marketing Has a Long Reach

Still another advantage to using a website to market your business is the ability to reach a large, worldwide audience.  The Internet essentially knows no boundaries and advertising on a website means the business owner can reach competitors all over the world instead of being limited to a general location.  Advertising via other medium such as television, radio and the print media is somewhat limited and may only reach potential customers in a relatively small geographic area.  Not to mention, those advertising mediums are much more expensive than Internet Marketing.

Another advantage of using a website to market your business is the Internet is available 24 hours a day around the world, 7 days a week!  This essentially offers you an online storefront which is open 24 hours a day!  While your competitors may be limited to their regular business hours, your website enables you to reach your customers at any hour of the day.  This is especially important for reaching potential customers in other time zones and in your own area.  Sometimes business is lost simply because the potential consumer is too busy to shop for products or services like the ones you offer during regular business hours.  Many potential customers work long hours and appreciate the ability to research and shop online after hours.

Using a Website for Marketing Goes Beyond Sales

Another big advantage to using a website for marketing your business is you that you can actually generate a profit from your website in ways that go beyond sales.  You can use your website to generate income by selling advertising space to other business owners who are interested or are already marketing online to your niche.  However, care should always be taken when advertising other companies on your website.  First and probably most obvious is that you should not sell advertising space to your direct competitors.  An ideal advertiser is one who offers products and services which do not directly compete with your small business’ focus but would be of interesting to your potential customers.  You also don’t want too many advertisements on your business website.  Why is this important? – It is important because too many advertisements may detract from your business and cause you to lose customers.

In conclusion, using you website for marketing is a must for small businesses looking to capitalize on the power and potential packed into Internet Marketing.

How to Reach a Target Market

Target Market

Target Market = Internet Marketing

Internet marketing is one of the most popular advertising options available these days.  Having the ability to reach a worldwide audiences 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is unprecedented in world history! This is the reason why more and more consumers are turning to the Internet to research products and services before making purchases.  With more and more potential customers turning to the Internet for information and purchases, it is very important for small businesses to establish an online presence that is geared towards their target market.  Failure to take action online, results in competitors gaining the edge in the sales competition. Though the Internet is fairly new from a business marketing standpoint, businesses must realize basic advertising principles still exist and must be dealt with appropriately.

Know Your Target Market

As with any good marketing campaign, business owners should do market research before they launch any Internet marketing campaign.  Ideally this would involve hiring an SEO research consultant to work along side of the lead marketing person of a small business.  The results of this research should clearly determine the basic demographic information of the target market.  The research should also include a strategical plan on how to reach this target market.  Small businesses that cannot afford to hire a marketing consultant should still make a concerted effort to obtain this information on their own.  This can be done through informal polls of current clients or through online market research papers.  The more comprehensive and formal the research, the more insight will be gained as to the best way to reach that target market.

Information is gained through your market research, should then be tailored to appeal to the target market. There are a numerous different variables which can be modified to ensure the right message reaches the right people, in a manner that they can understand and relate to.  Some of these ways in which an Internet marketing campaign can be tailored to a specific target market include: the aesthetics of your website (i.e. colors, layout, fonts, etc.); advertisements where the wording of your copy becomes important; or through the use of more advanced design features such as audio, visual and interactive tools.

Visually Appeal to your Target Market

The aesthetic-appeal of your website greatly contributes to how your website is viewed by the members of your target market.  An example of this would be a website which is designed to attract the attention of an older generation with more conservative tastes, would include muted colors, clean design (that is easily read) and conservative graphics.  Thought and design placed on things like this, help to ensure the target audience of your market enjoys the website.  Conversely if you were looking to appeal to a younger audience with more liberal viewpoints you might chose a website design with bold, bright colors, eye catching graphics, videos and other creative design features.

The copy you include within your website should also be written with your target market in mind.  Consider the examples of the conservative and liberal target audiences listed above to create a better understanding of how the copy within your website should appeal to your target market.  When targeting a more conservative audience, the copy should be tailored to use formal language, research-able facts to back up all viewpoints.  However, when you are marketing to a more liberal audience or a younger audience you should consider using less formal language which would likely to appeal to the target market. Focusing more on emotional copy can go a long way to persuading the website visitor to your viewpoints.

In conclusion, your website should be created with the sole purpose of appealing to the target market.  You may wish to include audio and video clips on your website but these clips should appeal not detract the website visitor from the purpose of the website.  For example if your website is selling dirt-bikes you might want to consider incorporating audio and video clips of rock bands into your website, as opposed to say a acoustic bands.  True there may be some dirt-bike riders who enjoy acoustic bands but, in general rock bands more closely represent the dirt-bike culture.

Convert Your Target Market

Keeping these seemingly small details in mind when designing an Internet marketing campaign, goes a long way.  Traffic is great but, converting your target market should always be the goal.

Small Business Owner Stress – Identify and Eliminate the Source

Small Business Owner StressSmall Business Owner Stress a Serious Issue

As a Small Business Owner it is not good enough to merely address the symptoms of stressful situations. Of course, learning stress management techniques can really help relieve stress temporarily, but if you want to permanently live with less stress, be more productive and happier, you’ll need to identify and eliminate stress at the source!

What’s Causing Stress in Your Life?

The actual factors that are causing stress in your life may or may not be consciously recognized yet, even to yourself. It is possible that you may be aware of the biggest stressors in your life, but often times many other smaller stressors can add up.  Causing what might seem to be minor stressors, to become big things.  Stress by nature leads to indecision which make it absolutely possible that large stressors become factors without conscious awareness. To eliminate these stressors, it’s crucial that you take honest inventory of what’s really causing you stress.  Psychologists have invented a technique called the “hourly checks” to help identify specific stress inducers.

How It Works

  • Purchase a watch or phone that can be set to ring an alarm every hour of the day. Carry a small notepad and pen with you at all times. A smart phone is great for this!
  • Every time the alarm rings, open the notepad and write down a number from 1 to 10, ranking how stressed you are.
  • Anytime the number goes up, write down just one or two sentences as to why you think the number went up. If the number goes down, write one or two sentences on why you think the number went down.
  • Keep this up for a whole week. Then take a look back at your journal.

Small Business Owner Stress Points

You might be surprised to find the difference between what you thought was stressing you and what is or was actually stressing you.

For example, you might have thought that all your stress was work related, but in reality a disagreement with your spouse may have actually occupied most of your attention. Without writing down what you were really thinking when stress went up, it would be very hard (especially if you suffer from daily stress) to identify the source of the problem.

Tally up all the different causes of stress in your life and identify the most stressful ones.

Eliminate Small Business Owner Stress at the Source

Once you know what’s causing you stress, how do you eliminate the stress from your life?

The first step is to take accountability. Any time you’re pointing fingers outside of yourself, you are effectively removing all your power to do anything about the situation. Even if you think your stress is “someone-elses-fault,” look at what you can do to change the situation.  Own your personal power!

The next step is to come up with a game plan. Write the plan down, even if you don’t show it to anybody.  The act of writing will make this exercise worthwhile. You don’t have to take action on the plan right away. For example, if your small business’s system feels like you are constantly being tossed projects at the last minute spend some quite time to reflect and remedy your system.  Small business owner’s are the brains behind the operation.  Make sure your game plan is good for your business as well as your mental health!  A lot of stress can be relieved by creating a concrete plan – action on that plan can come when it makes the most sense.

The last step is to eliminate the source of the stress. This often involves having difficult and honest conversations with yourself, your staff (if you have one) and your family. While you might never get to a place where there’s absolutely no stress in your life, a lot of stressors can be eliminated from your life by following this process.  And you will free your mind for greater things when Small Business Owner stress becomes a thing of the past!

What is Internet Marketing?

Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing is actually many things rolled into one.  Internet Marketing involves the strategic use of graphic design, websites, content writing, link-building, web applications and social media outlets.  The idea is to utilize all of these disciplines to capture the attention and eventually the sale of a specific target market.

Business needs are typically different for every business.  Some businesses are just starting out online and others are online but they want to improve their results.  This is where SEO Graphic Design comes in.  We sit down with every business initially to assess what their goals are, who their target market is and what kind of budget are they willing to commit to their online marketing efforts.  We create a strategic plan based on that information and then began the work of executing that plan.

Internet Marketing is SEO, SEM, SMM

Internet Marketing is known by many names.  The latest terms used are SEO, SEM and also SMM.  SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing.  SMM stands for Social Media Marketing.  In a nutshell, all of these terms ultimately fall under Internet Marketing.  SMM is just Internet Marketing using Social Media as a platform.  A good Internet Marketing plan encompasses all of the aspects of the Internet that reach your desired target market.  Think about this – If I want to reach people who are in the age group of 18 – 25, I would look for that demographic using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the like.  If I were looking to reach business minded people between the ages of 25 – 55 a good place for me to find that demographic would be LinkedIn.  So as you can see, both of these examples involve Social Media (SMM) but the strategy is specific.  A smart strategy encompasses information like that to make the best decisions.

PPC is Internet Marketing

PPC better known as Pay-Per-Click is a method of Internet Marketing that is paid for by the person using the service.  Essentially Google, Yahoo and Bing offer business owners the opportunity to have their website listed in the search results of people looking for information of products similar to that of the business owners PPC campaign.  PPC is based on keywords and to specialize in this area is a science all to itself.  Every time a person clicks on a PPC advertisement, the business owner pays the Search Engine company a fee.  That fee can be from .10 cents per click to $5-10 per click!  Utilizing PPC is a great way to get immediate search engine results but as I’ve stated, it does cost money.  If the PCC keywords aren’t setup right, businesses end up spending a bunch of money for clicks that don’t translate into sales or appropriate leads.

Organic Search is Internet Marketing

Organic Search is the golden goose of the Internet!  Organic Search doesn’t cost money for clicks like PPC and based on the algorithms search engines like Google use, it is pretty much a guarantee that the business that are ranked on the first page of Google are exactly what the Internet Searcher is looking for.  Once upon a time, web developers used to be able to manipulate search engines using all sorts of blackhat techniques.  Developers would create websites that appeared to be one topic to the search engine web-bots and then were actually something entirely different to the actual live Internet Searcher.  Through the use of algorithms created by Computer Scientists working for the major search engines, the search feature actually does a great job of delivering exactly what you are looking for immediately.  So with that said, websites that actually are ranked high in the search engines have met the balance of information, interaction and popularity.  To put a business on the first page for the right keywords and information you are talking about potentially millions of customers knocking at your door!

The Internet Marketing Sales Pitch

If you are in search of a good Internet Marketing company don’t be fooled.  There are many companies who purport guarantees of #1 Google Ranking but in doing so, they are make promises that normally don’t come to fruition.  How can I say that?  Well think about this from a logical standpoint.  If I owned a jewelry store and I want to sell my best diamond rings online, I face some pretty stiff competition.  Tiffany’s, Zales, Kay, Cartier and Blue Nile are also selling diamond rings online and have been for a while.  It is a good chance their budget for PPC large and they are most likely much more popular on a worldwide scale.  So if I the SEO Consultant approaches you the local Jewerly store owner, how can I guarantee #1 Ranking? The truth is I can’t.

The way to get to the top of the search engines for any topic is based on a sound plan and strategy.  If you hire the right SEO Company, they will implement a plan that survives the ups and downs of Internet Marketing techniques.  A sound plan uses sources such as Google’s recommendations of Internet Marketing compliance.  A bad Internet Marketing campaign can doom a business website into Internet obscurity.  Search engines actually penalize websites that are caught using blackhat SEO techniques.  The penalty can be demotion to the bottom search ranking for your keywords to a complete blocking of the website from the search engine all together.  So I always urge business owners to be careful and make sure you are fully aware of the strategies being employed on your website.
